The ARA section warmly invites you to participate in the Belgian Mill Award 2025 , a unique Belgian contest that traditionally takes place on the third Sunday of September . How did the Belgian Mill Award originate?
In 1998, four radio amateur friends joined forces: the late Gilbert ON4CBV (the creator of the contest), the late Maurice ON3MN, Gabriel ON6WH, and Katy ON6WV. The idea was born after an enjoyable visit to a windmill during the national mill day. Later, Donald ON7QR, a miller himself, also joined the team, along with Andy ON7BA. The goal of this contest is to promote the Belgian heritage of windmills, watermills, and horse mills , both within our national borders and beyond.
